Ceiling Art

Do you think that ceilings just have to be white? When not white then definitely covered with only one color? This kind of prejudice has been very common for ages, but to be completely honest then lately it is more and more common to cover the top of your room with some kind of ceiling art. It has even been said that the ceiling is even better than a regular canvas as there is so much different kind of lights there and the paintings really come to life.

Overall ceiling art means that you can paint yourself or have some professional paint a picture on you ceiling that would match your overall image of the room. The painting depends all on you and you can have whatever you want on you ceiling.

For example, in children’s bedrooms what would be more appropriate than some cartoon characters or cute animals, so even if the children are falling asleep they can see something sweet and not only a scary and empty ceiling.

To conclude, ceiling art is a very old type of art as it has been so many times over the course of history and you can see beautiful paintings in old castles and churches, but it is an art that is still very strong and is starting to spread even in modern buildings.

Do you have instructions for painting a trey ceiling? Do you use three colors to obtain the effect? Are the colors darker on the inside or outside? I want to do this with just plain paint, using different colors to acheive the trey effect. Thanks for helping.
sincerely,
shirlee

Re: shirlee's trey ceiling question Did you ever get an answer to your question? I have the same question, and I would love to find pictures of various painted trey ceilings...
