How should I replace a suspended ceiling in the bathroom?

I have a suspended ceiling in my bathroom, which is below a concrete ceiling (in a purpose built flat). I would like to redo the bathroom, and replace the ceiling. What is the best way to do this, so that the bathroom looks good? I really would like recessed ceiling lights.
