10' ceiling is masonite tiles (white) with walls of pine paneling. How can I integrate ceiling with walls?

I like the pine paneling since I have cleaned it. This is a country house. If I painted the ceiling, what color would be O.K. with this honey colored pine? p.s. I cannot afford to rip it out. The room is 35'x 13'.
Did I mention that I hate this ceiling?
