How do I fill 3inch holes in my ceiling...
I want to remove a number of fitted spotlights from my plaster ceiling, and need to fill in the holes.

start by putting a wood backers across the holes, then put sheetrock peice to the backer 1/4 inch, or 1/2, or 5/8 thick peice to get close to level (better to be below level), then tape edges, coat with ez sand 90 made by USG to level, then sand smooth. You may have to ad sand to paint to match plaster texture. P.S... alway prime before painting any repair spots.
