Ceiling mounted speakers vs. wall mounted?
We are building a house and had a media room wired for 5.1 surround. We asked them to prewire for wall mounted speakers but found out that they wired for ceiling mounted speakers. Which is better? I wanted some input before I just tell them to change it.
We do not have speakers yet, so we are open to purchasing what ever is best. It seems like based on what you all are saying, if I leave them in the ceiling I will be able to get speakers that can be adjusted to an optimal position.

My advice is to check your speaker manufacturer's website; you may find documentation or a diagram that describes the best way to set up your satellites for optimal sound.
