Can grid ceilings be painted?
I have a existing grid ceiling. It is multi colored. I would like to paint it white. Will the paint make it sag? help NEEDED.

i assume a hanging celing? i did mine your have to be careful not to displace then tiles, i painted it with a primer first because it was in a bar that hadnt been painted in 30 years. the primer was all i needed. so i left it at that. puls it was 90 out side the weekend i did the painting. it took two coats. and 5 gals of primer room was 24 x 40.

Yes you can paint the ceiling without it sagging. You just need to use the correct paint (ask at hardware store) and don't go to heavy, more lighter coats work better.
