building a ceiling

my sons room has a sloped high ceiling like a loft conversion ceiling which is right up to the top of the roof in the attic. I would like to bring the ceiling down to normal 7 foot 7" ceiling. How to I go about this?

what can you do is to remove the existing ceiling and extend the mainframe above the former ceiling.
