which way are celling fans suppose to turn in summer and in winter

In the winter you want the air to rotate upwards into the ceiling down the walls - your fan should travel clockwise. in the summer you want the air traveling directly downward, you fan should travel counter-clockwise. (traditional slanted blades) (depenant on the slant of your fan blades)
