i have a cathedral ceiling and the wallboard is cracking on each end below the ceiling. what can i do?

i have remudded the crack but it just comes back. should i use plastic mudding tape?

mudding tape is a good option. you just need to make sure that the cracks won't reopen with the use of epoxy or crack injection.
