how do i prepare to install and outdoor ceiling

i want to install a wooden ceiling into a porch i built outside over top my outdoor deck. i used cathederal type trusses and ridge vented the roof. the trusses are 16" o.c. and i want to nail the ceiling to the trusses...do i need to put tar paper or plastic or a house wrap before i install the ceiling? i'd like to use 3/8" laminated flooring as the ceiling material.
