what does a faux tray ceiling look like?

i hired a decorator to help me with my master bedroom. the ceilings in the main area of my home are painted the same as the walls with white crown moulding. i love this look but because of the window height in my master bedroom i am not able to use moulding in the same way. the decorater suggested a "faux" tray ceiling. i have not been able to find an example of this and am hestitant to go forward with the project without a better understand of what the end result will be.
