ceiling repair

a peice on the edge of my popcorn ceiling broke off which means i can't screw the ceiling vent into the hole. what can i purchase to fix this so i can screw the vent it. right now it is hanging by one side. i tried caulk but that didn't work.

i suppose you do have a drop ceiling for you have a ceiling vent. in order to fix it, you must install a grid where you can screw the vent. or it might be better be checked by a local contractor and have them fix it for you.
