lighting for vaulted, slanted ceiling and close to wall

i am trying to add a lighting fixture to a living room with vaulted, slanted ceilings.the placement is only about 3 feet away from a wall which happens to be a fireplace. any suggestions?

try pendant lights hanging from sloped ceiling. or close to the ceiling directional spot mounts. only install recessed lighting if the ceiling has enough depth for mounting the recessed cans and for proper air flow.
