i am replacing a bedroom ceiling that currently is nothing but heavy cardboard 1/2 in ch panels. i want to put beadboard on it in 4/8 sheets. do i have to put something under it to glue it or can i just nail it to the studs in the ceiling?

what would the apprximate cost be for a 11/17 room?

you may need around 20 pieces of 4x8 beadboard for your 11x17 room and multiply it with the current beadboard price on your area then you'll get the material cost. better to nail it, it is much stronger.
