how do i heat a room that is 28x26 with a 2 story catherdral ceiling.

i already have 4 forced air heating ducts...(too expensive) and a propane fireplace. the room is too cold to sleep in winter. i am afraid to use the propane fireplace while i am asleep...and the forced air furnace is turned off because of expenses.

you haven't mentioned if the room is insulated, if not, better to have insulation on walls. it will help a lot to control the temperature in the room whether for heat of cold.
