What is the difference between vaulted and cathedral ceilings?

Cathedral ceiling is a sloping ceiling with equally sloping sides, meeting in the middle of a room at a ridge. Vaulted ceiling is a sloping ceiling with unequal sides or with just a single sloping side, or curved, or arched.
