whats the easiest way to remodel a ceiling
i am remodeling my house and have removed wall & cabinets from the ceiling & under those items the ceiling is a swirl pattern and the rest is popcorn. i have scraped the popcorn off but really dont want to re-mud the entire ceiling to cover the swirl and the scraped popcorn. i want a texture but cant make the two patterns mesh. what is the easiest resolution?

it is hard to combine two patterns for the texture at the same time. what you can do is to apply the base texture first, let it dry and apply the second texture. just be careful and choose the right patterns so to complement each other.
