I am trying to decide whether to put recessed lighting in my kitchen or a fluorescent light; which will maximize my lighting potential.
Currently I have a very small fluorescent light, which is not large enough to light my 12 x 10 kitchen. I am going to add 2 pennant lights over the island and have added puck lighting under the counters. The overhead lighting is not good. Should I replace with recessed lighting or put in a larger fluorescent tube light with a "cloud" cover so it will disappear into the ceiling? I'm having trouble with this one. I have had an electrician come, and both are possibilities. The cost would be the major difference. I want to be sure I am getting the best possible lighting. Thank you!
