We want to put a suspended ceiling in our basement. We have 7 foot ceilings and want to utilize that space as much as possible. We have one problem, there is one spot in our basement where we have a heating duct come down about 4 inches.

I butted my corner striping into the heating duct i.e. at the same height as the rest of the ceiling. The bottom edge of the ductwork sticks out but we are going to paint it white to blend in...

We just Built a False Beam Over it and another to Match on the other end of the Room. Blends Right In!
